About Me

I’m Carolin, the founder and trainer behind Pferde in Balance (PIB). My journey with horses is driven by a lifelong passion for their well-being and a desire to create healthy, balanced, and harmonious partnerships between horses and their riders. Through PIB, I combine classical dressage principles with modern biomechanics to ensure that every horse I work with develops physically, mentally, and emotionally.

One of my greatest joys is seeing my horses happily welcoming me, with their curious and open minds ready to enter into a dialogue. It feels like heaven when we smoothly flow forward together, moving in pure harmony. I love feeling their consent and trust, especially in more challenging situations. These moments of connection, where they willingly choose to engage with me, are the foundation of true partnership.

There’s something truly heartwarming about watching them choose my company just to be with me. This is what warms my heart and makes all the work so fulfilling.

When the horse understands and is motivated, movement becomes almost effortless. The body moves weightlessly, with power, suppleness, and a harmonious, swingy quality. Watching a horse find and embrace correct biomechanics is deeply fulfilling, as it unlocks their natural potential and well-being.

I’m constantly evolving in my work, learning especially from Belinda Bolsenbroek and Claudia Wolters at the moment. My approach to training is shaped by the knowledge and techniques I gain through these mentors, as well as years of hands-on experience. I’m a qualified Equine Manual Therapist and Equine Physiotherapist through the DIPO – Deutsches Institut für Pferde-Osteopathie, and I’ve worked as a licensed Straightness Training instructor and evaluator with the Straightness Training Academy.

At Pferde in Balance, I offer various membership options to meet the needs of riders at different stages. Whether you're just beginning or looking for more personalized guidance, my aim is to help you and your horse develop trust, balance, and elegance in every step. My goal is not only to create healthy, happy athletes but also to nurture the relationship between horse and rider—mentally, emotionally, and physically—by allowing the horse to move in harmony with its own body, where true effortlessness and mutual trust can be achieved.
